Custom Truck One Source (Custom Truck) today announced it will expand and dedicate its current operations in Sedalia and Pettis County to the manufacturing operations of its OEM subsidiary Load King. In addition to Custom Truck’s existing facility at 2900 Rissler Road in Sedalia, MO, Load King will now also occupy 28,000 square feet of additional manufacturing and office space in Thompson Meadows Industrial Park.
“This is a direct response to the growing demand for Custom Truck’s diverse portfolio of truck-mounted equipment, particularly its vocational packages featuring Load King specialized equipment,” said Ben Link, EVP of Production. The additional fabrication capacity of Load King’s new building will allow the supplier to upfit up to 1,000 additional vocational trucks a year.
Dan Nowlin, who will oversee operations at Load King’s Sedalia and Pettis County facilities, expects the expanded operation to generate 25 to 35 additional job opportunities. “We are thrilled to create additional skilled jobs in this market. Our expansion into the new building demonstrates our commitment to both our customers, and to the communities in which we serve them,” said Nowlin.
“We are truly excited to work with Custom Truck and Load King to expand their footprint here in Sedalia.” Said Rusty Kahrs, President of Economic Development – Sedalia Pettis County’s Board of Directors. “We value Custom Truck as a key employer in Pettis County. These new jobs will be a great addition to the Thompson Meadows Industrial Park and to our community!”
According to Presiding Commissioner David Dick, this expansion represents an exciting time for the company and our community, “We are very honored that Custom Truck has decided to grow within Pettis County. Companies who choose to locate here and expand here are successful thanks to the dedication of our people and their strong work ethic.”
“Thanks to Jessica Craig and the Economic Development staff for their hard work and dedication to our community. It’s great to have companies like Custom Truck and Load King who want to stay in Sedalia and create new jobs. Because of this expansion we now have 25 to 35 new jobs in our community. Custom Truck & Load King thank you for all you do for our community. Sedalia is moving forward.” – Sedalia Mayor Stephen Galliher
