There are currently over 80 employees working for Xceligent with an expectation of adding another 60 employees as its expansion continues.
Tom Byrne of San Francisco, CA, President of LoopNet, the leading online marketplace for commercial real estate information and Xceligent’s primary investor, was also present and noted that LoopNet was honored to be present at the meeting and had recently made a multi-million dollar commitment to Xceligent’s growth.
Doug Curry, Xceligent’s founder and CEO, having grown up in Sedalia, is credited with bringing Xceligent to the city. “I am excited to have the opportunity to provide jobs in Sedalia as economic development growth has been a passion of my father’s for the years that my family has been in Sedalia.”
Xceligent began in 1999, competing with 35 other companies to provide information to the commercial real estate industry. Today, Xceligent remains as one of only two companies successfully offering this service to the industry.
